Antoinette Mary Miano

Antoinette “Toni” Miano Passed away on January 11th, 2023 surrounded by her two daughters and son in law; following a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Toni was born to the late Samuel Phillip Gentile and Mary Katherine Lodico, on July 21,1946 in Chicago Illinois. Toni graduated from Mark Keppel High School in Alhambra, Ca. where she met her first husband, Jim Labellarti and were married in 1965 and together they had two daughters, Gina and Brenda. In 1994, she married Joseph Miano and they became a blended family of six while remaining in the San Gabriel Valley. Toni is now reunited with her loving husband, Joseph who recently passed away. Toni will be dearly missed by her two daughters, Gina and Brenda (Dan), step-children Gina and Tony, as well as seven grandchildren; Brooke, Amber, Mariah, Jake, Jordan, Nicholas and Ryan. Toni will also be dearly missed by her sister Rosalee Barton, Brother Michael Gentile, including nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be lovingly remembered by all her relatives and countless lifelong friends. Toni’s career began shortly after attending Cosmetology school where she became a hairdresser. Later, she worked for Temple City Medical Group as a receptionist. Toni was very dedicated to her job but took a better opportunity at San Gabriel Medical Group for Urology for over 25 years where she was loved and respected by all the staff, vendors and patients. Toni is especially known for her kind heart, funny sense of humor, generous spirit and devotion to her family. She will forever be remembered for her classy sense of fashion and design and ageless beauty. In her retirement years, she really enjoyed working in the salon and spa industry. Toni started off at the luxury spa in Pasadena which is now the Langham Huntington Resort and Spa. Then later was a receptionist at The Ravissant Hair Salon for a short time. This led her to a fabulous position at Amadeus Spa & Salon as a Concierge in Pasadena, Ca. Toni really enjoyed catering to the clientele and pampering them like a king or queen with her fun loving personality and professionalism. Toni had several favorite celebrity clients who visited the salon. She was so loved and admired by all including fellow employees which she established lifelong friendships. Toni enjoyed remodeling and decorating her homes, entertaining family and friends with fabulous dinner parties, gardening, walking her dogs, shopping, drinking fabulous wines, cooking Italian food, but most of all spending quality time with her children and grandchildren. Toni and Joe were fortunate to travel frequently. They loved Hawaii, New York, Aruba, Bahamas U.S Virgin Islands where they fell in love with Caribbean rum and joked about being the best rummates ever. Toni’s most memorable trips of her lifetime were to Italy, especially Positano and the Amalfi Coast to pay homage to her Italian heritage. A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday March 6, 2023 at 10:00 am at Holy Name of Mary Parish located at 724 East Bonita Avenue, San Dimas CA, 91773.
