Kevin Lee Falk

Kevin Lee Falk passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday evening at his home in Rancho Cucamonga, California on March 7th. 2023 at the age of 55. He was surrounded by his family at the time of his passing. Kevin was born on September 12th, 1967 in Urbana Illinois to Richard and Helen Falk. He was the second voungest of five children. When Kevin was two years old his family moved to Davis, California where his father worked as a botanist professor at UCD, and his mother worked as a registered nurse at the local hospital. After high school, Kevin studied Political Science at the University of California, Davis. He joined the ROTC program which helped pay for his college. He graduated in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, while also receiving his commission as a Reserve Officer in the US Army. He went on to receive a Masters Degree in Government at the California State University, Sacramento (1993) Kevin married his college sweetheart, Marcia (Kawakami), after six and a half years of dating. They were married on June 29th, 1991. In 1993. they moved from Davis to Southern California so he could pursue his PhD. He received a Masters in International Studies, as well as a Doctorate in Political Science at the Claremont Colleges in Claremont, California (1995/1998 respectively). Kevin continued to serve as a reserve duty officer, and switched branches to the Air Force so he could continue his reserve duties at the local March Air Force Base. In 2009, he completed his 20 years in the Reserves, and retired as a Major in the US Air Force. Kevin and Marcia had two children, Ryan and Alyssa. Shortly after Ryan was born, Kevin started his career at the Federal Bureau of Investigations in the Los Angeles area. He moved up the ranks in the Bureau, and eventually became a Supervisory Intelligence Analyst. Kevin served a total of 24 years at the FBI. He was dedicated to his work, but his passion was spending time with his family and raising his children to be young, independent adults. Kevin was an avid reader, enjoyed watching his favorite football team, the Raiders, and even started the process of selling his own wine label called Bellator Wines. He is survived by his parents, Rick and Helen Falk, his wife Marcia, son Ryan and daughter Alyssa, his sister Cynthia (Larry) Fowles, brothers Richard and Jeffrey, and younger sister Alison (Leif) Olson, along with many nieces and nephews. His laugh and smile were infectious, and his loyalty and unwavering commitment to being a good human being is remembered by all. There are no words to express how much he will be missed by those who knew him. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 29th, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. 12704 Foothill Boulevard, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91739. There will be a viewing from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM in the main church. The Funeral mass will follow from 10:00 AM to 1:00 AM. Father Ben will be officiating the service. Food and refreshments will be served at the Falk home after the service. All are welcomed to attend!
